Candidates who wish to apply for nursing courses should pass their S.S.C or equivalent examination, preferably with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as main subjects.

There are about 500 nurses training centers in India which admit nearly 10,000 students every
year. Candidates seeking admission in B.Sc. Nursing have passed 12th standard (10 + 2) or equivalent examination passed with
Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects and English as compulsory subject with minimum 50%
marks (For SC and ST candidates minimum 45% marks)
The minimum age of admission is seventeen years on or before 31st
December of admission year. Admission to B.Sc. (Nursing course is one the basis of merit and marks in the qualifying examination.
Each state has it own organization for the registration of nurses. After the successful completion of training, a nurse should register her name with the State's Nurses Council to be eligible for employment. |
